II. The Akhekh Bloodline

Akhekh the dragon was born from a massive conflagration that resulted from an ancient electric concentration of aether splitting into air and fire. Unable to control his incendiary nature, Akhekh spread fire wherever he wandered, causing massive death and destruction. He trekked across the globe setting all life ablaze until he reached the remote desert regions of Northern Africa.

According to Egyptian mythology, Akhekh learned to control his fiery ways and lived out his days prowling about the hottest regions of the Sahara, where proved his dominance by scorching his prey with his burning breath and sucking down their ashy remains.

When the inferno inside him grew too painful, he dug a deep hole in the sand and vomited up his flaming innards. This ritual led to his myriad descendants, which are easily identified by their red scales and innate desire to burn everything.

It is unknown if Akhekh ever died from his repeated disgorging of offspring. Some legends believe that Akhekh became furious with the ancient Egyptians for not worshiping him and his power like they did their symbolic gods, so in an act of jealous vengeance, he vaporized the Nile and brought drought to the ruin of the ancient civilization. After this, he retreated to the deep Sahara, where he wanders to this day, waiting to rise again and flex his might.

Akhekh dragons are all about winning and power. They may be rather destructive, but this translates to them also being passionate in their affairs. Their relationships usually end poorly, but they are a must have at a barbeque.
